The Accident by Ismail Kadare Canongate,GBP16.99, 263pp

“It seemed the most ordinary kind of incident. A taxi had veered off the airport autobahn at kilometre marker 17. Its two passengers were killed outright, and the driver, seriously injured, was taken to hospital unconscious.”

This seems like the most ordinary opening of a story which you might expect to turn out to be a crime novel, and perhaps a fairly conventional one. The taxi-driver’s explanation of what he had seen in the rear mirror – that is, the sight which caused him to lose concentration and crash – should quickly dispel this expectation, for all he can say is that he thought his passengers, a man and a woman, both Albanian citizens – were trying to kiss. Not kissing, but trying to kiss.

Moreover it wasn’t seemingly as if one – let us say, the man – was trying to kiss the other, and she was resisting his attempt, something that might indeed disturb the driver if he supposed, for a moment at least, that this was the preliminary to an assault, that is a rape. Not at all: they were both trying to kiss, or so it seemed, and, for no reason he could advance, this so shocked him that he crashed the car and killed them both.

Indeed it is this state of unhappiness

Indeed it is this state of unhappiness and lack of fulfillment that I define as “stress”.

So what is going on here? Well if you look closely at where your “desires” or “wants” originate from within you, I think you will recognize that they are felt in your “emotional heart”.
That is also where I know you will likely feel the feelings of happiness when your desires or wants are fulfilled.

To fulfill your desires or wants means to heed your emotional heart. That is when you experience the feeling of happiness or feel happy. To do less means to feel unhappy or unfulfilled.
How many of you are in the habit of consulting the emotional heart in matters that have to do with happiness or fulfillment?

You try and handle your marriage issues under the understanding of what you know. What do you know? You know that your feelings tell you negative things about your spouse. Your feelings tell you that your marriage problems are your spouse?s fault because you don?t have any faults. Your feelings tell you to stand proud and not humble yourself.

I?m not talking about troubles such as physical and mental abuse, or addictions, I?m talking about just day-to-day quandaries within the framework of the marriage. If you can?t forgive then you aren?t accepting the person you married. This is one of the reasons for the high rate of divorce. Couples just give up because they don?t want to feel what they feel about their spouse. Ironically, you are making yourself feel bad because you won?t forgive.

No person is perfect, as a matter of fact; we are very imperfect individuals no matter how hard we try to be perfect. This is why we have to work at our marriage. This is why our imperfections cannot stay hidden for long. This is why God brought us His Son to the world! So we could learn to be patient with one another and forgive.

Mobey Forum, a provider of sustainable mobile financial services ecosystem, announced it has released the market’s first white paper which details how mobile remote payment technology can effectively be delivered to end-users by leveraging existing systems and establishing an open infrastructure.

According to Mobey Forum, the white paper will be of particular interest to senior decision-makers at financial institutions. Entitled “Mobile Remote Payments General Guidelines for Ecosystems,” the white paper focuses on payments where two parties are able to send and receive or exchange funds using the mobile channel, irrespective of where they are located.

With contributions from a multitude of players from the banking, mobile and payments industry that represent the entire ecosystem including Caisse d’Epargne, Deutsche Bank, DnB NOR, Nokia, Nordea, Royal Bank of Scotland and TeliaSonera, the white paper highlights three key findings:

-The role of the mobile phone number and how this can be used instead of bank account details. This enables a payer to initiate a fund transfer using the payee’s phone number and without the need to know their bank account or card details, ensuring customer convenience and confidentiality.

-The needs of different markets vary considerably and what might be an efficient solution for one market might not be acceptable for another. Organisations will need to consider many factors when selecting the operating model to deploy.

-Establishing and agreeing a roadmap to mass-market interoperability is key to drive adoption. The white paper suggests that financial institutions should start with today’s infrastructure and rules, and gradually evolve towards direct interoperability through standardisation and small system changes.

Actually, the taste was pleasant and I became interested in hearing more about this protein.

Egg white protein normally comes in powder form which tastes pretty lousy. Eggs Whites Int protein is in liquid form was tasteless at least in that chocolate drink.

The Eggs Whites International are not raw egg whites separated and sold but rather they are pasteurized and processed to insure disease free consumption. The liquid is no longer clear but yellow. Actually it looks like urine which at first sight is disgusting. With this information the salesmen takes a leap of faith as far as I?m concerned and states that whey protein can only support muscle growth for 2-3 hours while Egg Whites last 4-5 hours.
